Job overview

We wish to appoint an outstanding individual to lead our Motor Vehicle Department. You will be a highly respected individual with above all real drive and ambition to move the department forward and to develop the College’s alternative fuel, electric and hybrid vehicle provision over the next two years. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and effective leadership characteristics.

You will lead and manage the Motor Vehicle team, ensuring that the needs of all students are met and that they are supported to make outstanding progress. You will ensure that excellent standards are maintained and that the department continues to progress and excel through managing the recruitment, deployment, development and performance of staff.

You will also ensure that students have a stimulating and enjoyable learning experience to enable them to achieve their very best. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and students. You will maintain a relentless focus on strategies to sustain the highest quality of support to achieve outstanding outcomes for our students.

BCA is a popular and expanding FE college with a strong land-based heritage. We have an excellent record of academic and pastoral achievement and pride ourselves in creating a caring and respectful ethos where every student is important.
