We seek to appoint a dynamic and well qualified Head of Music to join our high achieving school, managing the Music Department, including a team of 25 peripatetic music teachers, with the support of a music admistrator. Applications are considered from exceptional existing or aspiring leaders of music. Candidates should be able to teach across the age and ability range to KS5 and provide evidence of successful teaching strategies and excellent organisational skills. Advanced piano and/or music technology skills would also be desirable.
Coloma is very proud of its history of academic achievement; this is due to the hard work, focus and dedication of staff and pupils which permeates the ethos that is Coloma. In 2019, the last year in which final public examinations were sat, we achieved remarkable exam results with a Progress 8 score of 0.89 at GCSE.
We value excellent relationships within a caring community. Extra-curricular activities play a huge part in the life and success of the school and pastoral systems are extremely strong.
