Are you a passionate, talented and inspiring Head of Music or looking for a promotion from your current Teacher of Music role? If so, we would love to hear from you. Lewes Old Grammar School (LOGS) is an extremely friendly and caring school with  a family ethos. We believe in work life balance for our pupils and staff and in treating everyone as individuals. 

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced Music Teacher with the ability to teach Years 7 to 13, covering KS3, KS4 and KS5. Our Music department is small but ambitious. We take advantage of our central location to  Lewes and the churches and public spaces available to us to us and strive to offer our pupils as wide a range of performance opportunities as possible. 

Our Music department has undergone significant investment over the last three years and will continue to benefit from the overall renovation and development of the school site over the next year. 

We are able to offer this role as a full time position or as a part time (0.6) role.

About Lewes Old Grammar School

Lewes Old Grammar School is an independent, co-educational, all-through school in East Sussex. The historic town of Lewes has a population of 17,000 and is known for its annual bonfire festival. 

The school can trace its roots to an educational foundation started by Agnes Morley during the reign of Henry VIII. At its last inspection there were 509 pupils on the school roll, between the ages of 3 and 18.
