PE at Wimbledon High School
Our vision for sport is twofold; firstly, to increase the breadth of our programme and provide girls with the greatest variety of activities possible. Secondly, of course, we are aiming for excellence with our competitive teams, ensuring the best coaching and good quality competition in our fixtures.
We have extensive facilities, including a sports hall, 25m five lane swimming pool, netball and tennis court on-site. Our playing fields are a 10-minute walk away, providing all-weather and flood-lit surfaces for hockey, athletics and rounders, five netball courts and tennis courts. The site is the original home of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which held the first Wimbledon Championships here in 1877, as well as the tennis of the 1908 Olympics.
