We are looking for a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join our Science Department within our popular 11–18 comprehensive school. Standards are high, and the department is committed to developing the potential of every pupil in its care. To be successful, you will have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning to lead a strong and successful team. A willingness to teach A Level is essential, though experience is not necessary.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a key leader in a high performing subject. The Physics Department has outstanding learning resources in place and the successful candidate is expected to build upon this foundation that offers excellent progress for pupils.
We currently have 12 teaching staff and two full-time technicians. There are eight laboratories, one of which has access to an ICT suite, plus one Sixth Form Science classroom. All laboratories are equipped with PC projectors and interactive whiteboards and wireless internet access is available for pupils and staff in each laboratory.
