An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and able Head of RE to join our school. We are looking for an excellent practitioner to ensure delivery of outstanding lessons and development of the wider RE curriculum, raising academic achievement and ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress in RE.

 

The successful candidate will be:

§ Able to inspire pupils of all abilities within RE to achieve their highest potential across Key Stage 3/4.

§ Able to lead/develop a team, ensuring outstanding practice across the subject area through coaching and mentoring.

§ Committed to delivering consistently outstanding teaching and ability to share your practice with others in a constructive and collaborative manner.

§ Contribute to the strategic development of the department by implementing new initiatives, monitoring and reporting on key outcomes, to ensure the department meets academic targets.

§ Responsible and be accountable for pupil attainment and achievement, by tracking pupil progress and supporting individual pupils’ learning needs.

You would be joining Crofton Academy at an exciting time in its development. In 2020 the Academy became part of Castleford Academy Trust. Over the last 2 years, the Academy has been on a substantial improvement journey, the result of which is significant improvements in behaviour, leadership, and the quality of education. The Academy were recently visited by Ofsted as part of a monitoring visit the outcome of which was overwhelming positive regarding the direction of travel for the Academy. We would be delighted if potential applicants came to see the Academy in action.
