Our residential school is looking for a caring individual to join us as a Head of School, who enjoys working with young people, managing and who can ensure a smooth running of day-to-day operations of our school.
We are looking for a creative, visible and open-minded Head of School, to join our family feel team. You must have a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring even the most challenging of minds and behaviours. We are looking for candidates, who want to get involved, have their ideas heard and are confident working with children with additional needs.
As Head of School for our Overton, you will be responsible for leading on the day-to-day operational function of the School, with direct line management responsibilities for the Senior Leadership & Management Team across the Key stages. As this is a residential school, you should be able to work collaboratively across both Education and Residential and be able to use our therapeutic approach to provide that wrap around care and education for each of our individual children and young people. The successful candidate will have an oversight of all management of staff performance and personnel for the staff team. You will report directly in to the Head of Service and will work collaboratively with them to ensure operations are working in line with the School and Residential development plan and are compliant with the Independent School Standards.
Overton is a two year old school which has currently 15 day students and 12 residential young people, all aged between 11-18. The School is based on extensive grounds with vocational and academic spaces for the Children to learn within. We have very small class sizes and usually a 2:1 ratio. The ideal candidate will provide consistency in working with the staff team to support our young people in their day-to-day lives, within a school and home environment, enhancing their life skills and making sure, they are safe and secure in their surroundings.
