The B.D. Somani International School is a unique learning environment set in the quiet greenery of Cuffe Parade in South Mumbai (India). The decade-old and well-established international school offers a 12-year programme and is affiliated to Cambridge Assessment International Education and International Baccalaureate (IB). It offers the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes at the upper levels. Students from the school regularly get 40-45 points in the IB Diploma and nine A* grades at IGSCE, and progress on to the top universities that include Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Cornell and Columbia.

Our dynamic and highly effective founding leader, who is presently the Head of Secondary School, is retiring after a successful decade in post. We need an experienced and committed leader as an overall Head of School (to whom will report the Head of Primary School and a new Head of Secondary School), who will build on the excellent work and developments that have been established at the B.D. Somani International School.

We are therefore seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated and experienced Head of School/Principal, whose vision, commitment and enthusiasm for teaching and learning will guide our school in maintaining and developing a strong intellectual, physical, social and emotional foundation for our students.

The school offers facilities, ranging from an all-weather football pitch, to a world-class indoor auditorium and performance facility, which can excite the right school leader. Mumbai is itself a culturally rich, cosmopolitan city, and the school is located in the most vibrant part of town. The compensation package will be competitive and will include housing and perks that make living comfortable. It is usual to provide a car, but we go the extra mile to ensure that our school leaders are well provided for, with help at home, and access to club facilities. As our ideal candidate would be an expatriate, with significant experience in international schools, we will offer terms that will be attractive to the right person.
