About the role:

The Centre for Applied Sciences in Angel runs a successful Science department, which consists of a range of 16-18, apprenticeship and Access to HE adult provision in a variety of subjects,including Applied Sciences, Medical Sciences, Health Sciences and Forensic Sciences. We are seeking to appoint a Head of School for Science to support the College in achieving its vision for this department and ensuring students achieve to their maximum capacity. 

About you:

-Effectively developing and managing the department, ensuring course design and staffing of courses is of high standard and future-oriented.

-Ensuring the department is externally facing, being marketed attractively to prospective students, developing progression opportunities for students, managing relationships with awarding bodies and partners.

-Continuing development of Teaching learning and assessment within the department, ensuring development of pedagogy is a continuing priority.

-You will line manage manager's lecturers and technicians, and support the Centre Director in the provision of exceptional education and training.
