HEAD OF SCIENCE
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to lead our Science Department with effect from September 2018.
It is expected that the appointee will provide the department with dynamic and creative leadership, creating a clear vision for the development of science at RHS in order to establish the department as a centre of excellence. Alongside being a biology or chemistry specialist, the successful candidate will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. They will demonstrate a passion for developing pupils into critical thinkers and confident learners, and have the ability to motivate and support colleagues. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to form positive and effective relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues as well as a commitment to extending science learning beyond the classroom. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher, able to teach biology or chemistry to pupils from Years 7 to 13 with a demonstrable record of high outcomes for the pupils they have taught. Candidates will have the energy and enthusiasm required to commit to a large boarding and day school.
