Founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1869, Notre Dame is a well-established Catholic College which relocated to a new state of the art premises in September 2013. Initially an all girls’ school with a mixed Sixth Form, girls and boys have been admitted into Year 7 since September 2012. It is now fully coeducational.
We welcome students and staff from many cultures, and take positive steps to support pupils and staff with disabilities.
The Governors would like to invite applicants for the post of Head of Science to lead and strengthen a developing team so that sustained growth is ensured.
We seek to appoint an inspirational and energetic leader and teacher who possesses high expectations, dedication and tenacity to pursue excellence for all students. For those candidates with more experience of successfully leading change they will be eligible to start at the top of the scale.
This role is ideally suited to a teacher and leader with passion, drive and enthusiasm who is able to work with like-mind colleagues within and beyond the Science Team. The successful applicant will work alongside the Deputy Headteacher to help raise the attainment of all students, including low-prior attainers and ‘hard to reach’ students; whilst ensuring the most able students are effectively stretched and challenged, ensuring every child is able to reach their full potential, in a high expectation learning environment.
