We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Science on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave.
We’re seeking someone who can:
- demonstrate an infectious passion for teaching and expert subject knowledge;
- effectively manage and motivate a team;
- work with staff to ensure pupils are engaged and enthused in their learning and be innovative in their techniques to do so;
- be a great leader with first-class communication skills;
- share our ethos that all children can succeed despite the challenges they may face.
Situated in Peterborough - one of the UK’s fastest growing cities - we are transforming the life chances of our pupils by ensuring that every child can succeed, despite the challenges they may face.
We are led by our Principal James Scarrott, and are highly motivated and committed to achieving the highest standards. We boast a £23 million state-of-the-art building with facilities that are arguably some of the best in the county, including two sports halls, numerous outdoor pitches, a dance studio and our own sports centre, which staff are allowed to access for free.
Being part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), you can be assured that you will be contributing to our mission to enable every child to achieve their best. All our academies work collaboratively to share best practice and are supported by the expertise within the central team to enable them to focus on teaching and learning. As a GAT employee, you will receive excellent opportunities for career progression and access to bespoke CPD from the Learning Alliance to enhance your professional growth.
Visits to the academy are warmly welcomed; please contact Pauline Poli, PA to the Principal, on 01733 821430 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
