The Towers Convent School is an all-through, independent day and flexi-boarding school based in Upper Beeding, near Steyning in West Sussex, for girls aged 2-16. It is a Roman Catholic school.
The Towers Convent School was founded in 1903 when five girls were brought to England from France by the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, to escape persecution of Religious Orders. Six Sisters continue to live on-site and participate in the life of the school. The school is now run as a charitable trust, with three of the Sisters acting as trustees and administering the school, together with other governors.

Values and vision
The Towers Convent School works to foster a love of learning within a contemporary curriculum. It aims to build a loving and welcoming environment which enables pupils to grow in the love of God and of each other, and where each individual is equally valued. The school motto is “Semper Fidelis” (always faithful). Teachers seek to promote an awareness of social concerns near and far, so that energies are channelled into action through collective responsibility.
Independent Schools Inspectorate report
“Pupils achieve well and make good progress in their learning, broadly fulfilling the school’s aim to foster a love of learning, thereby encouraging pupils to realise their full potential by developing their own talents. Pupils succeed in their academic work because they display excellent attitudes towards their learning and their behaviour is exemplary. Pupils also enjoy excellent relationships with each other, and they benefit from good teaching overall, although its quality is wide ranging. The teachers’ strong subject knowledge and their effective use of resources enable pupils to make good progress."
