PACE British School, Sharjah is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Secondary. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our expanding school and  to lead and develop our Secondary school. As part of the whole school SLT, the successful candidate will not only lead the Secondary school but form part of the vision and development of the whole school.

The ideal candidate will currently be a senior leader in a British curriculum school in the UK or overseas with solid experience of IGCSE and A' Levels.  They will have high expectations of themselves and others and be a role model of innovation as well as a committed team player with drive, energy and passion to develop the school. They will ensure that standards are met as well as being a well organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to run the Secondary school on a day to day basis.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership position either as an existing Assistant/Deputy Head of a Secondary School or as a current Head teacher.

• Hold a recognised degree at Bachelor’s level.

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification.

• Have solid experience of IGCSE and A 'Levels.

• Be an excellent communicator.

• Have drive and determination to build a truly excellent Secondary school in a low price point/high quality environment supported by excellent facilities.

• Have a sense of humour.

• Have empathy.

The following would be a strong advantage:

• A Masters’ Degree in Education.

• NPQML or NPQH or an equivalent qualification that includes evidenced professional development
