Bede’s is a co-educational boarding and day school for 750 pupils aged 13 to 18.
Sport plays an important part in the life of the school and we encourage all our pupils to develop their physical fitness. Our core sports are football, hockey, and cricket. We are also very competitive in tennis, swimming and netball. Other sports available to the students include basketball, swimming, squash and badminton.
Our facilities are exceptional with a twin sports hall, numerous grass pitches, squash courts, outdoor tennis courts, fitness studio, a competition-sized indoor pool, as well as floodlit water based astro-turf and a practice golf course.
We are looking for a confident and motivated individual to join our team as Head of Senior School Swimming. The role will specifically focus on working with our Performance Squads and School teams, having a significant emphasis on the strategic plans for both the performance and participation of swimming within the Trust.
The role offers flexibility depending on the candidate. The school is offering between 10-14 paid hours for the 33 weeks of the academic year. The salary for this role is between £6,000-£7,000 per year including holiday pay. Benefits include: a staff pension scheme, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, and free parking on-site.
There will also be a significant opportunity to gain additional income from private lessons, camps during the 17 weeks of holiday time, weekend academies and links with outside providers.
Hailsham Swim club utilise the facility and have coaching hours available in the evening in addition to this package. They have the potential to offer an additional 16 hours a week, 52 weeks of the year with a value of between £15,000 & £16,000 per year.
