Job overview

St Peter’s staff share a passion for working with our students and it is that which makes teaching at St Peter’s so enjoyable and rewarding. Some of our students face enormous challenges just in coming to school and others need expert advice and guidance to make the most of their natural talents and abilities. Our students make our school and our pastoral team are a vital component in turning those young people into successful adults.

  • Are you dynamic, passionate about quality teaching and committed to making a difference to young people’s lives?
  • Do you want the chance to experience and develop your skills and qualities required to lead and manage in a whole school arena?

If so, this is an excellent opportunity to join the pastoral team that has a key role in our school improvement strategies.

Ofsted rated the Behaviour and personal welfare of students as ‘Good’. One aspect of this judgement was the comprehensive, highly skilled and experienced staff. We pride ourselves on ensuring that all students are given the opportunity to LEARN, ASPIRE and EXCEED, through careful pastoral support planning and removing barriers to learning. Behaviour statistics show that students are being rewarded more often and are engaging in their learning to a deeper level than ever. We have strong links with external agencies, with safeguarding at the core of our working practice.

St Peter’s is part of The Cam Academy Trust which offers students and staff fantastic potential to collaborate, share and develop a wide range of teaching and learning across the schools in the trust. As a family of schools, we support, share and challenge each other to improve the future lives of all our young people.
