The Chair and Governors of James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) invite applications for the role of Head following the appointment of Sally-Anne Huang as High Master of St Paul’s School from September 2020.
As the oldest girls’ independent school in London, JAGS is proud to have been inspiring and educating pupils for over 270 years. Situated on an attractive 22 acre site in the heart of Dulwich, JAGS offers an outstanding academic education combined with excellence in sport and the creative and performing arts, to over 1080 girls aged 4-18 years. Pupils are drawn from a wide variety of cultural, social and economic backgrounds and benefit from an exciting range of co-curricular activities as part of a broad education that focuses on the whole person. JAGS has a successful and ambitious bursary programme, with over 130 girls receiving substantial fee assistance, and plans in place to increase this in the future.
Through a commitment to delivering excellence for all, a passion for inclusion and being involved in the community and a desire to push the boundaries of learning, the next Head will ensure that JAGS is truly a school for the 21st century.
