Head

Brabyns Preparatory SchoolStockport

Established in 1899 and nestled in the heart of picturesque Cheshire countryside in the small town of Marple, Brabyns Preparatory School is an independent day school which currently has 132 pupils aged 2 to 11 years and challenges, supports and celebrates their unique passions and strengths to prepare them for their next step in education. The school has a friendly and stimulating ethos with high expectations of behaviour and personal achievement. With specialist teaching in PE, Music, Drama, Science and Spanish, the team at Brabyns inspires every child from the day they start school to reach their potential and to actively engage in all areas of school life.

As part of the Bellevue Education group, Brabyns benefits from shared best practice and resources, in addition to focused training programmes covering all aspects of education. The School also receives specialist support from Bellevue in the areas of educational training and professional development, finance, human resources and marketing, enabling the Head to focus on the most important aspects of their work: delivering an exceptional education, which enables every child to reach their full potential. Bellevue is a group that equips its leaders with the freedom and tools required to thrive in today’s demanding environment.

Bellevue is now seeking to appoint a new Head for Brabyns Preparatory School from September 2021 to replace Lee Sanders who is leaving to join the Bellevue central team after 23 years at the School including 17 as Head. The next Head will lead the School with vision, inspiration and initiative in creating a climate which enables every member of the school community to flourish.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with ambition, imagination and a genuine commitment to delivering an outstanding all-round preparatory education for children. The Head must continue to ensure the very highest educational standards and guide this already excellent school through the next stage of its development.
