Job overview
Do you have a progressive and visionary approach to leadership and management and the excellent interpersonal skills to thrive in an autism specialist school? Are you are committed to developing students and staff?
With a strong track record and wide-ranging experience in either mainstream or special schools, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership and managerial skills. These will be complemented by highly developed interpersonal skills gained through successful inter-agency working. What will set you apart will be your relentless commitment to achieving high standards of teaching and learning and your passion for improving outcomes for our students.
We are looking for a Head Teacher who is inspired by our accomplishments and sees this as an opportunity to lead us to greater success. Doucecroft School is an independent school with approximately 50 students with ages ranging from 7-19. At an Ofsted inspection in February 2017, the school was judged as ‘Requires Improvement’, and we are looking for a leader who will consolidate the progress already made and work with staff to move the school towards ‘Outstanding’.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Autism Anglia, a well-established charity, that provides services to autistic people and their families across East Anglia. The charity provides ongoing training, supervision, CPD and support, as well as an extensive induction programme.
Are you the leader who can build on our vision and develop the future of our school? If so, apply for this role here.
Closing date: Sunday 3rd February, 2019
Interview dates: Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th February, 2019
