Job overview

Chase Bridge is a thriving, multi-award winning, three form entry Community Primary School and nursery in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Following the retirement of our headteacher after 14 years at the school, the governors are seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational leader to join our school community.

Chase Bridge is a friendly, exciting and dynamic place where children look forward to each new day in a learning environment that is caring and creative. We want our children to achieve their full potential; be safe and happy; develop a love of learning; and the skills of independence to make informed choices.

We provide a learning environment where children feel secure, are confident and, at the same time, challenged to explore and understand the world around them. Our vision is for all children at Chase Bridge to excel at learning, express their talents and care for others.

The successful applicant will embody our values and ethos, placing children and families at the heart of all they do and fostering a strong sense of community. They will build on the school’s strengths, bringing an energy and drive to further develop and deliver the school vision and strategic direction. Our new headteacher will lead an experienced team who are dedicated to helping every child fulfil their potential.

Walking through the school gates it becomes apparent that Chase Bridge is a very special place. As part of our broad curriculum offer, we provide an exceptional range of opportunities for the children including an annual international rugby competition; orchestra; choirs; edible playground; apiary; and forest school. It also has a unique location being situated next to Twickenham Stadium: home of the Rugby Football Union.

The Governing Body on behalf of the school community is committed to finding a new headteacher who will:

  • Be an inspirational leader
  • Put our children at the centre of all they do
  • Build on the school’s strengths
  • Bring energy and drive to developing and delivering the school’s vision and strategic direction
