Position Information 

Cambridge Park High School is a proudly comprehensive school with an enrolment of 766 students, including 94 students who identify as Aboriginal and 131 students from a non-English speaking background. The school has a strong commitment to differentiated teaching and learning to meet the needs of our students. Our highly skilled and dedicated teachers focus on quality teaching with an emphasis on strategies to promote excellence, engagement and equity in learning. School leaders and staff work with academic partners to develop agile learning across the school. Implementing evidence based pedagogical practice which focuses on learning growth is a school priority. The school is a partner hub school for Western Sydney University in developing quality induction and practicum programs for Pre-Service and early career teachers.  We have active links with a range of tertiary education providers, businesses and the local community. Our students thrive in an atmosphere which provides co-curricular learning experiences for students with an interest and passion in sport, creative and performing arts, leadership and community service. Specific Selection Criteria 
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, the ability to lead the analysis of student assessment data and use of professional judgment to build engagement and set high expectations of student learning achievement that shows progress towards achieving school targets; the ability to drive student growth and attainment through a deep understanding of the Science curriculum whilst ensuring monitoring and compliance requirements are met; the capacity to lead staff to deliver high quality teaching, using research and evidence to plan, implement, assess and evaluate student learning; highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively to build positive partnerships and teams across the school and community; visible collaborative leadership of school improvement to refine school practise, professionally develop teachers and contribute to the strategic growth of the school across the School Excellence Framework. General Selection Criteria 
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
 
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
