Parkside Vision

At Parkside School we are friendly and respectful to each other, adults and children alike.

We like the fact that our school is calm, and our learning environment is quiet and purposeful, with teachers who are calm, kind and fair.

We include everybody in our games and aim to always play happily together.

We use kind words and respect each other’s religions and values, understanding that difference enriches the world we live in.
We respect the buildings and the environment – keeping it clean and tidy and putting things back where they belong. We are proud that we have a school that is well looked after and teachers and friends who care about it.

We walk around the school responsibly, calmly and sensibly and look for opportunities to help others, setting a good example at all times.

We like to use kind words and help each other to feel special, celebrating everybody’s work, being polite and using our best manners at all times. We try to be honest, positive and trustworthy at all times.

We work and try hard at everything we do, stretching ourselves and helping others who may be stuck.
We like to be independent learners, collaborating and persevering and to use our learning power skills to solve problems.

We understand how our attitudes can affect others. We aim to stay positive and like to share our smiles. We are happy and enjoy school.

Our teachers aim to be outstanding practitioners. They have high expectations for all children encouraging them to reflect on their learning, collaborate, take risks, use initiative, and show resilience.

We want children to be ready to take on the challenges of secondary school and beyond as confident, happy and well rounded individuals who respect themselves and each other.
