Job overview

Unique opportunity for an outstanding school leader

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspiring school leader to lead our school in Bentley Heath, Solihull. We are seeking to appoint a person who is able to develop and lead a strong Christian vision and who fully understands the Christian distinctiveness of a Church of England school. We are therefore looking for a headteacher who will actively support and promote our Christian ethos in every aspect of school life.

We believe that success is found in who you are as well as what you do. We aim to provide an outstanding education, supported by excellent pastoral care and high standards of behaviour, set within a distinctive Christian ethos. We want to equip our pupils with academic achievement, experiences, and personal attributes to enable them to succeed in the next stage of their education.

Bentley Heath Church of England Primary School is a welcoming and friendly Christian school for the whole community. By admitting children on the basis of the proximity of their home to the school, the school is fully inclusive and welcomes children and families of all faiths and none.

The school is set in a semi-rural location and is fortunate to enjoy extensive grounds including playing fields, a large conservation area and a Peace Garden.  The school believes in ‘building happiness and success’ for all of our pupils’ which is reflected in our school values. Thankfulness, compassion, truthfulness, perseverance and forgiveness are examples of these values and together they help to give our pupils a sense of stability and belonging. The strong sense of community within the school nurtures our children and results in above average academic attainment. The school also has a strong sporting tradition. We enjoy excellent links with our local secondary school, Arden, which enables us to work in partnership to provide a smooth transition from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3.
