Due to the forthcoming retirement of our current, much-loved and respected Headteacher, The Governors of Buglawton Primary School seek to appoint an outstanding, proven school leader to embed existing good practice and lead the school into continuing its mission to “Be the Best You Can”.

The Governing Body expects;

• A strong individual who can promote the highest standards, expectations and achievements in teaching and learning, engagement and behaviour for every child
• An individual with credibility and a positive-track record gained either as an existing Headteacher or experienced Deputy/Assistant Headteacher
• Someone who is committed to working with all stakeholders to realise the vision, values and ethos of the school, it’s staff and children

Our children would like a Headteacher who;

• Knows each of them by name
• Sees them in lessons, around school and at other school activities
• Enjoys celebrating their learning and wider achievements

Our staff desire a leader who;

• Can lead by example, with experience across the primary age range to help support and challenge them
• Is knowledgeable, communicates well, invests in them through time and professional development and cares genuinely about their contributions and success
• Has presence within school and the broader community, particularly with children and parents

All stakeholders of Buglawton Primary School place the highest priority of Safeguarding Children and Young People. This appointment will therefore be subject to enhanced criminal record checks (DBS). Pre-employment checks and other safer recruitment processes will also be undertaken prior to any appointment being finalised.
