Due to the retirement of our current headteacher, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward thinking leader who has a passionate approach to child centred pedagogy. 

We are looking for a leader who is ready to navigate our school skilfully through the next exciting chapter of our school's development, based on our vision of "Setting sail for new horizons".

St Ives Infant school is a two form entry school with a 52 place nursery, set in extensive grounds with a world renowned view and a rich outdoor learning environment. 

The school converted from Local Authority Status to become an Academy (Single Academy Trust) in 2011, since which time it has embraced the autonomy academy status has brought. 

Our aim is to develop a curriculum to enable every child to set out confidently on the adventure of learning; to be curious about the world, excited about their future, positive about their ability and caring towards other people.

We are seeking a headteacher who:

• Has the leadership and drive to develop our school with a passion, securing excellent outcomes for all children

• Can nurture the wellbeing and resilience of the school community

• Is an innovative thinker with extensive knowledge of educational theory and an enthusiasm for discussing and implementing ideas to achieve the best outcomes for the school and its pupils

• Can inspire and influence others to believe in the fundamental importance of inclusive education

• Is a visible and approachable leader who has the ability to foster strong relationships within our diverse parent/family community
