Killamarsh Infants and Nursery School has around 130 pupils on roll and is conveniently located close to Sheffield, Chesterfield and Rotherham and within easy reach of the M1.

Although we are currently listed by OFSTED as a school that 'Requires Improvement', since our last inspection we have been making significant progress in all areas of performance under a number of temporary leadership arrangements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator and leader as we are now looking to appoint a permanent Head Teacher who will help us build on our recent improvements and carry the school to a 'Good' rating and beyond. The successful candidate will be assisted by a fully supportive board of governors and a dedicated and passionate group of teachers and supporting staff.

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant recent and relevant experience as a Head Teacher, Deputy of Assistant Head Teacher
• A recent senior leadership post for at least 3 years, with direct line management would be desirable
• A proven track record of successful leadership
• Successful experience of raising achievement

In addition to the above the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to fully engage parents, staff, and the local community in order to help us achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.
