The Hemel Hempstead School is a mixed ability maintained Foundation school for boys and girls aged 11-18. We have 1139 students, including 209 in the Sixth Form. There are six forms of entry, increasing to seven forms from September 2019. A Good school with ambitions to be Outstanding.

The Hemel Hempstead School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Hertfordshire, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Hemel Hempstead has approximately 1,139 students, including 209 in the Sixth Form. It’s sixth form is part of Partnership – consisting of three secondary schools. 

Formerly The Hemel Hempstead Grammar School, The Hemel Hempstead School opened in 1931, converting to a comprehensive school in 1971. In 2016, the school was identified as good by Ofsted.
