Due to the retirement of our current long-standing Headteacher, the Governors, staff and pupils are looking for an existing Headteacher or an Aspirant Deputy/Assistant Headteacher to lead our school community to its next level of success. Please note, a job share may be considered for the right applicant(s). 

Hedgewood School is a maintained, primary, specialist provision in Hillingdon, for children and young people aged 5 to 11 years, most of whom have been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and complex learning difficulties. Our school holds the advanced NAS accreditation, and we are also the AET Hub for Hillingdon.

We deliver innovative consistent approaches that effectively prepare our pupils for the next stage of their education and for their lives beyond school.

Our ideal candidate will be an existing senior leader with proven experience in a specialist school setting, who is willing to work with all stakeholders to build upon the school’s existing strong foundations. You will also:

  • Be a passionate and innovative leader, ensuring to meet the diverse and complex learning needs of each pupil.
  • Be able to demonstrate your commitment to whole staff development and have had experience of close working with therapy teams to enhance learning.
  • Exemplify the vision, values and ethos of our school acting as a beacon of good practice for all members of the school community.
