The Management Committee of Chadwick High School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward thinking Headteacher to continue to drive school improvement. Chadwick High School is a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) that supports up to 90 KS3 and KS4 pupils who receive additional support for their medical or social, emotional or mental health needs.

Our vision is to provide a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment in which young people can grow as responsible, independent and self-confident learners. We are on an exciting journey of school improvement and have made rapid and significant improvements of which we are all very proud.

The school benefits from a supportive Management Committee, an effective Senior Leadership Team and a dynamic team of experienced committed staff. We are now looking to recruit a Headteacher with the right values, vision and ability to continue to lead the school forward to the next phase in its development; someone with resilience who is approachable, reflective and open minded.

If you want to work in a school where every child matters, where personal development and progression are equally as important as attainment and your values underpin and drive you as a Headteacher, then we would like to hear from you.

Please refer to the school web site for additional information.

Pre-arranged visits to the school are encouraged-please contact the school directly. Potential applicants may also contact the School Adviser, David Bird, Lancashire School Improvement Service on 01257 516166.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'.

Shortlisting date: 9 October 2018.

Visits to school: 15 October 2018.
