Our current Headteacher is retiring, and we are looking for someone with commitment, strong leadership skills and a clear vision to continue the excellent work at our exceptional school. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted and judged as ‘Good’ overall with ‘Outstanding’ in Personal Development and Behaviour. Guiseley Primary School is a popular and aspirational school serving the community in North West Leeds. We excel in many ways and are committed to our children and families’ personal development and progress. As a school we have achieved Healthy School status, are a ‘Mindmate’ school, and recognise the need for children’s health and wellbeing as a priority. We achieve this by providing a diverse range of opportunities for all children including music and choir, forest school, sport, a library and an extensive package of extracurricular activities.

We are therefore looking for a Headteacher who can lead the School to ‘Outstanding’ without losing sight of the key principles that, in the eyes of OFSTED the parents and the wider community, makes our school great. - The skills to develop staff and promote innovation.
- Energy and enthusiasm to share with the school, parents, and wider community.
- The ability to manage tight budgets to maximum effect in the best interest of children.
- Genuine concern and a belief that all children can experience success.
- A deep understanding of what constitutes good teaching and learning.
- Strategies and methods for enabling children to achieve their full potential.
- Provide Leadership, management and budgetary support to Aireborough Children’s Centre.
