Downderry is a highly successful outstanding school with approximately 500 pupils on roll, from ages 3 (Nursery) to 11 (Year 6). We are proud to be part of the lively and diverse community, with its people and languages from around the world. We encourage children and adults to respect the rights of others, and to celebrate in the wide diversity of our school family and the wider community. Our curriculum embraces the opportunity to learn from and share in this cultural richness. We have no religious affiliations and celebrate all.

We are a school for our community running breakfast and afterschool clubs for pupils and deliver courses for our parents in the evening.

Downderry has an outstanding children’s centre attached. The centre is a hub for the wider community, offering outreach to support families and an exciting timetable of activities for parents and children throughout the year.
