This post is classified as having substantial access to children, and appointment is subject to an enhanced police check of previous criminal convictions (DBS). Applicants are required, before appointment, to disclose any conviction, caution or binding over including ‘spent convictions’ under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) Order 1975. Non-disclosure may lead to termination of employment. However, disclosure of a criminal background will not necessarily debar individuals from employment – this will depend upon the nature of the offence(s) and when they occurred.

All staff aged between 16 and 75 will be enrolled into the Teacher Pension Scheme and contributions of salary are deducted from monthly salary payments at the current rate of deductions.  Once enrolled, if you do not wish to be in this scheme you will need to complete the necessary "opt out" forms.

At Dixons Broadgreen Academy our mission is to provide all students with a first-class education; one that opens every door in their adult life to maximise their life chances in the future.

We are committed to empowering every individual so that they fulfil our mission of ensuring every student succeeded at University or real life alternative, thrived in a top job and lived their best life. Students and staff are committed to three core values that underpin who we are and how we behave.

Dixons Broadgreen is part of Dixons Academies Trust.  At Dixons, we are committed to making a difference where it matters most. We work to improve the future for thousands of children in the parts of the north of England where young lives are adversely affected by social and educational disadvantage.

We believe that every child, regardless of their background, should be able to fulfil their academic potential and go on to thrive amongst the demands and expectations of 21st century life.

We are ambitious for every child we teach and want to see a society that benefits from the contributions of our well-educated and empowered young people who come through our network of high-performing non-faith academies. We make a difference to young lives by being that difference and defying the disadvantage we see.
