About The Divine Mercy Roman Catholic Primary School

The Vision of our new school

The shadow governing body of Divine Mercy Primary RC School adopted the following statement of their vision for the new school at their first meeting.

“ The vision of the governing body of the new school is to aspire to provide the highest quality of education for all pupils. As a Catholic Primary School the new school has the duty to teach our shared faith as a catholic community and to bear witness to the gospel in all our actions and words.”

Both sets of staff and governors in January 2008 agreed in the importance of a broad and balanced and curriculum, one that values the achievements and experiences that children have in school. We believe our children need to leave primary school with the highest possible levels of academic achievement in order to equip them for further learning and the world of work. Our children also need to have opportunities to develop the widest set of learning experiences and social skills.
