Following the resignation of our current Headteacher, the Governing Board is excited to offer this rare opportunity to appoint a new Headteacher to lead our successful, happy and nurturing school. Situated in the heart of the Wimbledon community, Dundonald Primary school, is a two-form entry school that is hugely oversubscribed, and is much loved by pupils, staff, parents/carers and the wider community.

We are looking for a Head teacher who will:

  • Have an uncompromising commitment to ensure that each pupil has a well-rounded education through a creative and challenging curriculum thereby enhancing the whole child approach.
  • Remain committed to developing our status as a Gold accredited UNICEF Rights Respecting School, thereby ensuring that each pupil is valued, respected and treated as equal
  • Continue to strive for excellence - Dundonald is rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted
  • Support and motivate our dynamic and forward-thinking staff by fostering respectful relationships and focusing on their career development and wellbeing
  • Promote inclusion and remove all barriers to education and extracurricular activities - with a positive focus on SEND pupils

Dundonald Primary School is situated in a fantastic location – surrounded by green playing fields, but close to the buzzing town centre with excellent transport links.

We are interested in applications from current Headteachers, or aspirational Deputy Headteachers or Senior Leaders who are seeking to step up to a headship position.
