Located on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire market town of Richmond, we are surrounded by the outstanding natural beauty of North Yorkshire’s National Parks. In addition we have excellent road connections north to Teesside and Durham, west to The Lake District and south to Northallerton, Harrogate, York, Leeds, and Selby. We also benefit from easy access to the east coast mainline from both Northallerton and Darlington.
Our ethos is very much child centred and incorporates distinct Christian values. We provide a stimulating and structured curriculum which allows self-esteem to flourish within an environment which is inclusive and supportive to all. Our aim is to create an imaginative, inspirational teaching environment where every child is happy at school, enabling them to achieve their full potential. The school is very welcoming with a nurturing atmosphere.
We have strong links with both Swaledale and HART Alliances and benefit from their invaluable school improvement support. We also host trainee teachers from both organisations.
An effective leader and communicator, you must have the ability and presence to inspire and influence children, staff and stakeholders while developing and building partnerships and collaborations. As well as assuming responsibility for all aspects of school life, you will also direct the strategic plan, lead the development of the curriculum, develop effective behaviour for learning practices and deliver an outstanding provision which meets the needs of all our children.
A creative thinker with high expectations for all, you must be able to demonstrate well-developed leadership skills, a talent for developing and motivating others and the expertise to effectively analyse school data and manage the budget.
In return, we can offer you an extremely supportive governing body and the freedom to shape the future of our school.
If you have aspiration we look forward to receiving your application.
