Job overview

Creativity, inspiration and achievement is what Broomfield Primary School are all about. Are you ready to come and join us and inspire our children to learn?

Currently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, Broomfield Primary School represents an excellent opportunity for a strong, forward-thinking and ambitious leader to lead, shape and influence our school, while building on our strengths to ensure continued success.

Set in the North Yorkshire county town of Northallerton, we are an open, happy and friendly school where every person is valued, and individuals are celebrated. We are a dynamic community with high aspirations for all our pupils and we pride ourselves on their holistic development. Over the last couple of years, we have been recognised for our growing proportion of pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. We remain determined to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils and fully embrace the changing profile of our school.

Building on the strong progress firmly established over the last few years, we are seeking to appoint a motivated leader with vision, dedication and the highest aspirations for all members of the school community, who will build on our achievements and continue our drive to be outstanding in every way.

You will have a demonstrable track record of raising standards and the ambition, skills and experience to lead a school offering challenge and opportunity in equal measure. A strong communicator, you will have the ability to forge and promote positive relationships with all staff and our large and diverse parent/family community. Visible and accessible, you must also have the ability to further develop our team, effectively deploying staff and other resources.

You must be financially astute, possessing the skills to build partnerships, while delivering an outstanding educational provision that is sustainable for the long term. In addition, you must be able to interpret and use data to drive performance, and manage resources while ensuring our friendly, caring culture is maintained.

You will lead highly committed, experienced and loyal staff and have strong relationships with Governors, the wider education community and across the Ebor Academy Trust.

If you share our passion to deliver positive outcomes that continually transform the future of our children, this is your chance to make a real and lasting difference.
