HEADTEACHER - VIRTUAL SCHOOL FOR LOOKED AFTER CHILDREN
Shropshire Council is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced and highly committed Headteacher of the Virtual School for Looked After Children who will:
- Promote the progress, attainment and wider achievement of Shropshire’s Looked After Children to support them to become successful and confident learners so that to fulfil their potential
- Be responsible for leading and managing the Looked After Children’s team which includes Advisory Teachers, a Senior Education Welfare Officer, an Educational Psychologist,CAMHS Senior Practitioners and Administration Support Officers
- Develop and sustain positive relationships and lead and/or contribute to a range of projects with internal and external partners in order achieve specified and improved outcomes for Shropshire’s Looked After Children
- Support and challenge mainstream and special schools to ensure that they provide an education that is good or better for the looked after Children on their roll
- Be responsible for an approximate budget of £560k, which includes accountability for the impact of the Pupil Premium.
The post holder will report directly to The Commissioner for Education Improvement and Efficiency.
