Stanchester Academy is a semi-rural secondary school located in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon, I the heart of South Somerset with circa 800 students.  The school is part of the Bridgwater & Taunton College Trust.

HEADTEACHER

Full-time and permanent, commencing September 2021

Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 per annum

The Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust and the Local Governing Body are seeking to appoint an exceptionally talented individual to the position of Headteacher. With the support of the Trust the successful candidate will embrace the unique opportunity to lead this rapidly improving school and truly transform outcomes for the students, staff and the community.

Applications are welcome from candidates with significant senior leadership experience gained from working in either the Secondary, Middle or within an ‘all-through’ educational establishment.

You will need to have a proven track record of driving strategy for continuous improvement.

You will also have demonstrable success in teaching and learning and will have a passion and commitment to ensuring that all young people, regardless of background, are successful.
