Who are we?
Southend High School for Girls is a selective 11-18 girls’ Academy Grammar School with boys accepted into the sixth form. We are proud of our reputation, we enjoy excellent GCSE and A’ Level results and are in the top 100 state schools in England.
We are the Lead School for the area SCITT and run initial teacher training across the whole Southend area. We have a national reputation for sports. Extra curricular activities play a huge role in the life of the school.
We have highly motivated, ambitious students, excellent facilities and a strong staff team with an ethos of tolerance and respect.
