Job overview

An Exciting Opportunity to Shape the Future of our Trust.

Esher Church School is a two form entry Single Academy Trust primary school based in Esher in North West Surrey.

We are looking for a dynamic and wholehearted Headteacher; an aspirational leader to take our school forward as we seek to develop an effective model of collaboration that maximises the freedoms that academy status brings  and provides an outstanding education, one that fully prepares our children for the challenges of the 21st Century.

Ambitious for the future, we are also deeply committed to our Christian ethos which is one of loving care and respect for all.  We are not a faith school for Christians but a Church school for all.

As the successful candidate you will have experience of working as a senior leader in your current role and have a genuine passion for education and an enterprising approach to securing the very best for the whole school community. You will have experience of working in an academy structure and will have a genuine appetite to work with the board of Trustees to build the right future for our school within the schools’ led system.  Committed to our Christian Values, your practice will be built on collaboration and mutual respect.

In return we can offer a competitive remuneration package and pension scheme, a highly supportive board of Trustees and a full induction programme including professional coaching support.

Closing Date: Midday Wednesday 2nd June 2021

School Visits: We will follow Government advice and will do all we can to facilitate school visits for interested candidates, be they in person or virtual, and conversations with Trustees and our education advisors.

Interviews: 9th & 10th June 2021  - Covid compliant measures will be in place.

Esher Church School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to provide suitable references and undertake pre-employment checks, such as an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
