Job overview

Are you looking for a new direction?

Whitehall Primary is a culturally rich school in the north of Waltham Forest, housed in a modern building within extensive and pleasant grounds, close to Epping Forest.

We are a popular and forward-thinking school with a Specialist Resource Provision for the hearing impaired.  We have been improving standards of achievement and recently received a very successful OFSTED outcome (Sept 2017).  We mix established school traditions with creative and innovative approaches to meet the learning and pastoral needs of the children in our care.  We are committed to providing a well-rounded education and fostering a love of learning.

Following retirement of our existing Head Teacher after over 9 years at the school, the experienced Senior Leadership Team and governors are looking for a Head Teacher who will continue our drive to secure outstanding teaching and learning across the school and to help design and maintain a curriculum which excites, challenges and develops each individual within our community.

The job will use and develop your leadership and management skills, tap into your vision and energy and will provide you with the opportunity to engage creatively and innovatively in relationships with school staff, parents and external parties and stakeholders.  The post is non-classroom based.

If you are interested in knowing more about the post, please look on our school website http://www.whitehallprimary.com/ and follow the link to Headteacher recruitment.  Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and greatly encouraged.  You can arrange these by contacting the school office, 0208 529 3813 or office@whitehall.waltham.sch.uk.

Closing date for applications: Sunday 3rd February 2019, 4pm
Interviews to be held: 14th and 15th February 2019

Whitehall Primary School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
