HSDC is seeking to appoint a technician for our busy Health and Science area. Applicants should ideally have experience of working in a similar role within an educational setting.

Essential skills required are: relevant industrial/subject experience, Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint, knowledge of COSHH Regulations and CLEAPSS is required, time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all ages, verbally and in writing, ability to work alone and as part of a team, ability to solve problems and make decisions. 

The successful applicant will ideally have prior knowledge of handling dangerous chemicals, know how to maintain a safe environment whilst working with potentially dangerous micro-organisms and be able to conduct correct cleaning of resources and correct disposal of hazardous waste products.

Applicants must demonstrate good knowledge of health and safety.
