Epsom College, a vibrant, successful independent co-educational day and boarding school on the edge of Epsom Downs, is seeking to recruit a full time Higher Level Teacher Assistant/Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide support for a specific pupil to ensure that she is fully included within the school community and is able to access all aspects of the broad curriculum on offer to pupils at Epsom College as well as broader support to pupils across our school community. The Assistant will also provide administrative support with the examination access arrangements and administration within the Department.
The successful candidate will hold a HLTA recognised qualification level 4 or be educated to degree level. You will have a genuine interest in or previous experience of SEN with a professional approach, be confident, nurturing and able to inspire our pupils. Strong working knowledge of IT and excellent communication skills will be essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in a SEND or teaching environment. The role may also suit a graduate who has their sights on a career in education.

Epsom College is one of the UK’s leading independent co-educational schools providing both boarding and day education for over 1025 boys and girls aged 11 – 18. ISI report
The ISI Inspection report in February 2019 adjudged the College to be excellent in all areas with no recommendations for improvement. The report observed that pupils ‘demonstrate commitment to excellence in all areas of learning; do not settle for mediocrity and express confidence in the culture of the school that inspires them to be the best they can be.’ Similarly, the recent 2019 ‘Good Schools Guide’ concludes ‘You feel you are part of a school that’s really going places. Led with real vision, this school offers an exciting learning environment within an extensive, top-notch campus and the students are among the most inquisitive and delightful we’ve come across.’
