Successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of literacy intervention schemes, including Ruth Miskin Fresh Start (a synthetic phonics programme). Full training will be given to those appointed to this role. All lessons are already planned within the scheme, and all exercises are designed to be marked within lesson time. In addition to this, successful candidates will deliver lessons to students following an NTE (New to English) curriculum. This could include online programmes as well as phonics, grammar and vocabulary lessons, depending on students’ NTE stage.
These roles would be ideal for someone with an understanding and love of literacy, desire to work with and develop students’ abilities in this area, and who understands and values the school’s desire to be the very best.
