Job overview

Due to expansion Two Rivers High School are looking to recruit Higher Level Teaching Assistant posts on a temporary/permanent contract to join our excellent team, either on a 30 or 32.5 hour per week contract term time only. Required to start as soon as possible. Our school was judged by Ofsted (Jan 2019) to be outstanding.

 

30hrs/week: Monday-Friday (Term-time only)

Salary range: £25,878-£29,439 (FTE 37 hours)

£18,047 pa (actual salary)

 

32.5hrs/week: Monday-Friday (Term time only)

Salary range: £25,878-£29,439 (FTE 37 hours)

£19,551 pa (actual salary)

 

Key Requirements:

NVQ4 or equivalent qualification and experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.

 

We are looking for someone who:

•        Can support the work of a qualified teacher and take responsibility for agreed

learning activities

•        Work in conjunction with the teacher to prepare curriculum content, including

monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on pupil development, progress and

attainment

•        Work under the leadership of a qualified teacher to operate a high level of delegated

authority under an agreed system of supervision, including the planning and

preparation of teaching & learning objectives, adjusting work activities as

appropriate

•        Support the teacher in leading educational areas, this may include music,

communication, sensory, science, cooking or intervention

•        Is able to undertake more complex marking of planned work

•        Has high standards and expectations of themselves and the children

•        Is creative, enthusiastic and has a positive ‘can do’ approach

•        Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a dedicated, hardworking team

•        Has excellent interpersonal skills
