Smart Teachers is recruiting for a knowledgeable, committed History Teacher to join a comprehensive secondary school in Merton, South West London. This is a single sex school with an Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’. The History Teacher will be taking over a full time position ideally to start ASAP and on a permanent contract. The successful History Teacher will be able to teach History from KS3 through to KS5. NQTS and overseas trained teachers are welcome to apply.

In order to be considered for this role, the History Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

· Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

· Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks

· Experienced teaching in the UK preferred

· Strong behaviour management preferred but not essential 

· Bachelor of Education/ PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree 

· Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent preferred but not essential 

· Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum preferred

· Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

· Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks

· NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
