Founded in 1802 and set in 2,200 acres of beautiful Yorkshire valley, Ampleforth College is the world’s foremost Catholic boarding school, welcoming girls and boys of all faiths aged 11-18. Each student’s unique talents are recognised and nurtured within a welcoming community rooted in Benedictine values.
Ampleforth College is looking to recruit a part-time House Matron for their Junior House, St Edward’s & St Wilfrid’s, to work 2 days during the week, most likely Monday and Tuesday and alternate weekends - terms to be discussed at interview.
As House Matron, you will play a significant role in the development of students who are under your care. You will need to be able to stay calm under pressure whilst also being able to empathise and engage with our students. This is a demanding, but highly rewarding role, allowing you to help develop and encourage independence of the students in your care.
The highly rewarding role will require you to be flexible and a good sense of humour is desirable. You will be part of a dynamic house team and having the ability to work on your own will also be needed.
Closing date for applications is midday 29 September 2021
Interviews scheduled to start on Friday 01 October 2021
