Required for our Junior Boarding House

37.5 hours plus up to four overnight duties per week • Term time only (35 weeks) • Shift pattern involving days, evenings and weekends

At Cheltenham Ladies’ College, we aim to provide a strong support network for every one of our pupils. Around 690 girls board with us in one of our 11 Sixth Form and Junior Boarding Houses and your role will be at the heart of this pastoral care as you join one of our dedicated professional teams working under an individual Housemistress.

You will be based in one of our Junior Houses where you will be working within a team to look after approximately 60 girls aged 11 – 16 years. As a member of Housestaff you will make a significant contribution to the welfare and development of the girls; helping create an environment where each girl is encouraged to develop individual talents and interests and achieve her potential.

College itself combines a rich heritage with an exciting future. Approximately 880 pupils from 43 countries across the world benefit from the knowledge and expertise gained over the last 168 years. Driven by innovation and challenge, we prepare our girls to achieve their full potential in a complex and changing world.

To be considered for the role of Housestaff you will possess a positive interest in working in a care environment, good administrative skills and be an effective communicator. The ability to work as part of a team is a must as are excellent organisation skills. Previous experience of working within a school or care setting is desirable but not essential.

Closing date: Wednesday 29 September 2021 (12.30pm).

Interviews will take place: w/c 4 October 2021.
