Serving the bustling city of Sheffield, Outwood Academy City was constructed in 2011 with state-of-the-art facilities and joined Outwood Grange Academies Trust three years later. This was recognised by Ofsted in February 2019, when the academy was judged ‘Good with Outstanding Leadership’. Inspectors noted that, “Leaders and teachers demonstrate high expectations for all pupils. They are determined that pupils achieve well in their subjects”. 

Outwood Academy City seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role. We are currently seeking a professional, confident individual to join our academy as HR Assistant.  We are looking for someone who is highly organised, professional, approachable, flexible and who displays excellent communication skills. The role requires working at pace and the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure. The successful candidate will come from an administrative background. Previous HR would be an advantage although it is not essential.

Supporting the Business Manager in all aspects of HR and payroll, you will be responsible for administering the academy payroll function, as well as dealing with day-to-day enquiries in regards to HR/payroll matters. In addition, you will take care of monitoring and recording staff absence, organising and minute taking at meetings and administering the full recruitment process including pre-employment checks for all new staff.  

As part of a growing multi-academy trust, the successful candidate will be well supported and have access to a range of high quality professional development through the Outwood Institute of Education.
