Taunton School was founded in 1847. It is an independent day and boarding school with approximately 1,150 pupils, aged from 0 - 18 years, with circa 400 boarders. We aim to challenge, nurture and inspire young people to succeed in a global community.
The School have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and solution focused HR professional to join our small and friendly HR department as an HR Co-ordinator, to cover a period of maternity leave from late August 2020.
The successful candidate will oversee the recruitment and selection processes and general HR functions associated with the full employee life cycle. This is a busy and varied role and will involve supporting, advising and coaching managers on employee relations matters. The role would be suited to someone who has worked within a busy HR department previously and has experience of HR administration activities and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
We would like to hear from applicants who have worked in a generalist HR role and have supported managers with first line employee relations issues such as conduct and capability. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be capable of quickly building credible, professional working relationships. Accuracy and attention to detail, using your own initiative and working effectively as part of a team to collectively meet team objectives is essential.
